Message from the President:

Hello everyone!!! It is my honor to be your Microbiology Club President this year! The club aims to do a variety of things such as provide a community space for those interested in microbiology, provide networking opportunities for those interested, as well as providing a safe space for exploring any interests related to microbiology and the field. We achieve this through bi-weekly meetings, which include events like our annual agar art event, where we make art with various live bacteria. These meetings also include Q&A sessions with grad students, lectures about topics of interests, lab tours, and of course good old fun with food and drink! Members are encouraged to come to officers with ideas for meetings, as we want to cater to the general club’s interests and be as engaging and helpful towards our members as possible. One of the goals this year is club outreach to different communities and club growth. This club can be incredibly helpful to those in the microbiology major, those interested in science, and even those just wanting to make friends. You do not need to be in the microbiology major to be a part of this club! I am so excited to see you all around and feel free to contact me at any time! – Brooke Lee, President
