Occurring on the Monday before school begins, every fall semester. The meeting is kicked off with a keynote presentation and followed by morning and afternnon sessions consisting of short talks and poster presentations. Covering all aspects of microbiology, including, but not limited to, the following topics:
  • Applied Microbiology
  • Infectious Diseases
  • Immunology
  • Genomics and Bioinformatics
  • Microbial Diversity and Ecology
  • Microbial Genetics and Molecular Biology
  • Microbial Physiology
  • Virology

We want to learn about your research!

Presentations

  • Oral presentations will be limited to approximately 12 minutes, principally on unpublished work.
  • Posters will be presented during a poster session.
  • Presenters are expected to be at their posters during the poster session.
  • The submission of an abstract is not required for attendance but is encouraged.
  • Abstracts must be submitted with registration forms.
  • Please specify your preference for a talk or a poster presentation.
  • If necessary, the organizers will decide the suitability of each abstract for oral or poster presentation.

  • We encourage all interested undergraduate and graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, faculty, staff and industrial colleagues to participate in this meeting.
  • Please bring this meeting to the attention of any of your colleagues who may be interested.
  • Registration is due a week before the event.
  • For our out-of-town participants we will provide parking permits and a campus map.
